Retro-Catalog · title submission
Propose a GitHub recomp/decomp source for the official catalog. Sign in with GitHub, pick the platform, paste the repo URL, review auto-filled digests and release globs, then submit for maintainer approval.
Which system is this recomp/decomp for? The choice decides where
the title lives in the catalog (titles/<platform>/),
which ROM you will hash, and the defaults filled in below.
No platform chosen yet — the rest of the form unlocks once you pick one.
Reads public README / DISC.md for ROM digests and the latest release assets for install globs. You can edit every field afterward.
Required for submission. For launch binaries, asset globs, and ROM digests, at least one value in the group is enough.
At least one
asset_glob pattern is required (match the GitHub
release archive names).
Launch binary names
must match the executable filenames inside each OS release archive
so Retro can find and launch the program after install. Probe
prefers release-zip / WINDOW_TITLE /
--exe-name / README-SETUP (psxrecomp
*_Recompiled) — still verify before submit. At least
one OS is required.
Digests prove ownership for Retro’s library scan. You must hash a local dump below before submitting — auto-fill from the repo is not enough. The file never leaves your browser.
Required for submission
Drop your ROM below. The file never leaves your browser — only digests are filled into the form.
PSX: use the two checksum slots above (.cue then
Track 01 .bin, or one self-contained
.car image). Align
track_counts with
game.toml [netplay] required_tracks. No
.iso. Cart platforms leave these empty.
When enabled, Retro offers Build & Install /
Update / Generate & Rebuild
(generate + cmake) instead of relying on the in-game setup wizard.
Probe fills a psxrecomp one-zip recipe when
game.toml + release assets are present, or a
snesrecomp recipe from tools/regen.sh +
CMakeLists.txt.
Optional. When enabled, Retro can list this title in the
multi-game lobby. game_name /
game_version must match the strings baked into the
shipping binary (WS create/join wire identity).
Submit opens a review issue and emails human catalog contributors.
Maintainers approve by adding the approved label, which
merges the title and publishes an updated catalog. GitHub login is
required so abusive accounts can be banned in
submit/banned-users.json.
